Have you ever wondered about the home prices around professional sporting events? Anyone that has been to a baseball game(or any sporting event), probably has had this thought cross their mind. Have you ever driven by a house (walking distance to the stadium) and thought, “wow it would cool to live here! I could walk to all the games!”.
Now that baseball season is underway, I hope that you make time to get out to a game(s) this year.Baseball games to me, offer such a unique experience compared to other sporting events. I highly recommend it! Our office here in Riverside is very much divided between the Dodgers & Angels. Mostly due to our proximity to Orange County, and the long standing tradition of the Dodgers playing in Los Angeles.
Estately answered that question with this info-graphic. More specifically, would it would cost to invest in such an opportunity. Here are the home prices within two miles of each Major League Baseball stadium.
Can you afford to live near your favorite team? The data is from homes for sale in March of 2017.
My favorite team is listed at #4, which is not great news for me. However, I did find this sweet 388 square foot staircase(yes it is just stairs) in a prime location to the Dodger stadium. For only $20,000!

Since our local single A baseball team was not on the list (Rancho Cucamonga Quakes), I did a quick search for homes for sale near the stadium. Of the 14 homes I found for sale near the stadium, the median price of this area was right at $500k (this be #10 on the current MLB list). Which makes sense, as the neighborhoods around Victoria Gardens is a very nice area.
