The Grand neighborhood in Riverside features an interesting mix of terrain, hills, and the Santa Ana River in the North. In terms of geographical size, its a smaller neighborhood with limited space for residential properties. The Grand neighborhood has grown twice in the past century. Two annexations, in 1955 and the other in 1969, established the northwest boundary. This put the city limits to the edge of the Santa Ana River. The physical environment of the area has shaped the street design, giving the blocks irregular shapes, and it has created ideal land for recreation.
The majority of the residential neighborhood is in the south, which is mostly medium density residential lots with small pockets of lower density areas. The best homes in the area are ones that give views of the Santa Ana River. The heavily landscaped areas give a very “cozy” and warm neighborhood charm.
Living In Grand
There is no shortage of recreation and public facilities in Grand. In the northwestern edge, you can enjoy the Santa Ana River wildlife and eventually the Santa Ana River Trail will have access at the Tequesquite Park. Being a smaller neighborhood, near Mountain View Park you can find the Mt. View Elementary School as the only school in the area.
Grand is a great neighborhood for those that enjoy the outdoors and want to live excellent parks and hiking trails. Is Grand the place for you? View some homes in the area at the bottom of the webpage.
